Aftercare Instructions

Vivid Color

- You must shampoo and condition hair with recommended products from your stylist.

- Wait 48 to 72 hours before washing your hair after your appointment.

- For the first two weeks, wash in cold water only, move to lukewarm after that if you can't stand the cold.

- DO NOT sleep with wet hair, make sure to air dry completely or use a hair dryer before bed.

- When using a hair dryer or hot tool, use a heat protectant before styling and never have irons on higher than 360 degrees.

- We recommend a weekly moisture treatment to ensure longevity.

- Be aware that in the first few washes you may have some bleeding or colored run off from your hair. This is normal!

- We recommend using darker towels or sheets in the first couple weeks post color, so that any bleeding or run off is easily washed out.

- Avoid chemical pools or salt water. This can cause the color to fade very quickly or come out completely.

- Thoroughly brush your hair and under your hair multiple times a day.

- Loosely braid hair before bed to reduce knotting and tangling.

- Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase.

Blonding

- DO NOT use purple shampoo until at least a month after your appointment. After that, if you’re feeling brassy, only use once every two weeks.

- Try not to wash your hair more than 1-2 times per week. Overwashing can cause your toner to fade quicker, making you feel more brassy, or cause your hair to over produce oils and feel both greasy and dry.

- Avoid chemical pools or salt water. This can cause your hair to feel dry and brittle or cause damage. If unavoidable, put a leave-in conditioner in and loosely braid before getting in the water.
