Lydia graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Columbia in 2012. She fell in love with the art of hair styling after spending years cutting her own. Lydia loves to take a traditional hair style and bring it to life by adding texture, layering, and geometric lines. She sees herself as more of an editor: someone who takes a raw idea and works to perfect it, which makes sense, since Lydia loves to combine multiple techniques of barbers as well as stylists to create a fresh, unique look.

Lydia was home schooled her whole life, and grew up on a farm, giving her a special connection with horses and spends as much time as she can riding and taking care of them.

Kristyn graduated from Paul Mitchell The School Columbia in May 2023, turning her lifelong love of creating into a career. Her passion for art started early, and has evolved into helping clients bring their dream looks to life. She enjoys staying on top of the latest hair trends and specializes in layered haircuts, dimensional color, vivids, and blonding. Making people feel amazing about their hair is what it’s all about.

When she’s not at the salon, you can usually find Kristyn at home hanging out with her pets, playing video games, planning her next concert, or rewatching The Office—again.

Kristen graduated from Paul Mitchell in 2017, she loves all things hair and makeup and has been fortuitous enough to be invited to work several fashion shows including Charlotte fashion week, and many runway events with Sheen Magazine. Kristen wants to create a happy and relaxing experience for her clients. She loves vivid and dimensional color and a funky textured cut, but the perfect blend of structure and movement is her favorite.

When Kristen isn’t at the salon she can be found spending most of her time at home with her two black cats, reading comics, playing video games, and watching Drag Race or anime. Basically, she’s a giant nerd, who just wants to make people feel and look their best!

Stylist (She/Her) @jameson.beauty

A 2022 graduate of Paul Mitchell, Jameson has been behind the chair for almost three years! But before that, she attended the Makeup Designory in New York to fuel her passion for makeup and SFX. With this background, she was named the winner of a hair and makeup competition with Columbia Fashion Week in 2022!

Jameson loves blonding and fashion colors, but her primary goal is for clients to fell safe and comfortable in her chair. When she’s not in the salon, she is cuddling with her cats, watching animated tv shows, watching a scary movie, or trying to create new things.

Stylist (They/Them) @jd_dyes

After graduating in 2019 from Paul Mitchell in Greenville, Jo found their passion in making their clients feel confident in vivid colors and unique, fun cuts. Their love for these bright colors stems from a passion for painting outside of the salon, and after working in Greenville for a few years, they decided to move to Columbia to continue making clients bright and happy!

Jo is always making art, whether that’s in the salon, on a canvas, or out of yarn. The best part is putting smiles on the faces of everyone that sits in their chair.

Eliza is a skilled hairstylist who graduated from Paul Mitchell in August of 2024. With a passion for creativity and a love for helping clients feel confident, Eliza is thrilled to be part of the Vivid team. They love fun layered cuts, dimensional color, blonding, and vivids, and bring a unique flair to every client's look.

When not behind the chair, Eliza enjoys watching movies, going to escape rooms, ranting about comics, playing Dungeons and Dragons, or spending quality time at home with her cat.

Born and raised in Asheville NC and recently moved to Columbia after hurricane Helene. They love being outside especially when they’re spending time with their partner and dogs. Sage enjoys gardening, roller skating, reading, crochet/knitting, as well as visual arts like drawing and painting!

She is honored to create a relaxing and safe space for all folks to feel comfortable and express themselves to the fullest extent! Sage adores everything short hair, shags and precision haircuts. They also love doing low maintenance lived in blonding and vivid colors. Sage likes to educate y’all on how to love your hair at home and maintain a stylish look with ease, as well as offering silent appointments if needed.

Mattie has been behind the chair for almost 6 years after graduating from Paul Mitchell in 2019. Her passion lies in creating customized cuts and colors that enhance each individual's unique look, particularly focusing on low-maintenance styles that bring out confidence effortlessly.

After recently relocating from a barbershop in Greenwood, South Carolina, she is thrilled to bring her expertise and enthusiasm to this vibrant community. Her goal is to empower each client with a look they love and can easily maintain. If she isn’t at work she can be found reading a book with her two cats sleeping nearby or spending time with the people she loves.
